It can’t be that the law allows women to suffer and risk death when medical experts know what to do to help them, but that’s what’s happening and self-described “pro-lifers” tell us “the bans are working as intended.” But ask the dozens of Texas women who are suing Texas because they nearly died when they miscarried and were denied medical care because of the TX abortion restrictions. Miscarriage is common. Fetal anomalies are common. Sadly, sometimes it’s necessary to end a pregnancy with medical help. But self-described “pro-life” supporters want to send doctors to prison if they dare
to save a pregnant woman’s life, even when the fetus cannot survive.
Now states where abortion is banned want to extradite providers who perform legal abortions in another state. It’s always some nonsense. The extremists will not stop interfering in our lives until we kick them out of elected office.
Please vet your candidates and vote for well qualified people who support Democracy up and down the ballot, start with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris — they have a record of accomplishments and don’t get enough credit for them. Sure, it’s more fun to talk about the crazy orange man who is currently standing trial and has 3 other indictments pending. I get it — in comparison, Joe and Kamala are boring. I’ll take boring 24/7 over the dangerous chaos of the former guy and his sycophants.
Republicans have shown they cannot be trusted to protect our rights. Republicans especially can’t be trusted to protect pregnant women.
